INTRODUCTION |
|
Thrichur Medical College Alumni Association is
an organization of the past and present students of Thrice
Medical College and the Teachers who served as faculty in this
august institution. As per the byelaw, this organization is
committed to the academic and infrastructural development of the
Alma mater. It is not a private organization in any sense of the
word, and is against the privatization of the Medical College or
part thereof. |

ACTIVITIES |

TMCAA is unique in that it has made
pioneering steps in realization of its ideals, as envisaged in
the byelaws. TMCAA is established to conduct activities
supporting the academic and infrastructural development of the
Alma mater. |

- Computers (Dept. Radio diagnosis,
dermatology & Pharmacology, and pediatrics, neurology)
- Academic bulletin board for the
department of medicine
- Financial support for students
- Surgical instruments (Dept. of
Ophthalmology & Anaesthesiology)
- Instruments for pre-clinical medical
training such as calorimeters (Dept. of
biochemistry)
- High quality Histology teaching

more than Rs.75000 to the College Library
- TVs for pediatrics ward and house
surgeons' quarters
- About 450 good quality chairs to
college auditorium
- Scanner and printer to the College

- Computerization of MCCH Out patient
Dept which has helped in the queue management and data
management of this hospital considerably.
- Beautification of the campus (by
sponsoring planting of trees in MCCH)
- Co sponsoring academic meetings and
art festivals
- Imparting free computer training to
our student members.
- Providing LCD projectors with
operator for Governmental functions free of cost
- Support work in Development
activities like procuring the PG course.
- Conduct of Student oriented
programmes like "Stress Management", "Behavioral strategies
for Medical Students" and "Learning to Learn"
- Conduct of Staff oriented programmes
on Personality Development, {associating
with TMC Staff welfare Fund] which are unique to this
institution.
- Facilitated and financially
supported the conduct of Teachers Training programme.
- Co-sponsored the 31st Inter-medical
Youth Festival
- Felicitating our retiring teachers
- Hosting a \Web Site useful for the
institution.
- Supporting various academic
activities of the students
- Reprographic services for PGs,
departments administration etc
- Supporting water supply scheme of
the college campus – Rs 3lakhs
- Supporting back ground work in IMC
inspections, Silver jubilee celebrations etc
- Working as a catalyst in various
situations where administrative bottle necks affects the
development of the alma mater
